Editor’s Note: Senator Booker has been rightly applauded for his marathon speech. However, he should follow this effort with a shorter more cogent version in order to sway public opinion. Trump’s tariffs were issued on Thursday, and have been widely criticized for causing economic uncertainty and placing a consumer tax burden on the American people.  In the end, if the revenue from tariffs are used to pay for a tax cut for the wealthy and corporations, it will be the biggest robbery of the American people in history.
