‘I Want to Hate …’ On an April night nearly 30 years ago, a young investment banker was beaten and raped when she went for a jog in Central Park. The attack left her in a coma. She happened to be white. Five teenagers arrested for the crime — four black and one of Hispanic descent — went to trial. They were eventually exonerated. After they were freed, Trump wrote: “Yes, Mayor Koch, I want to hate these murderers and I always will. I am not looking to psychoanalyze or understand them, I am looking to punish them.” Read more 
Steve Kerr speaks truth to power — and his players respect him for it. Kerr, responding to President Donald Trump canceling the Philadelphia Eagles’ trip to the White House this week, made a point to say NFL players kneeling during the national anthem has nothing to do with the military.
