Editor’s Note:  While Republicans might offer many reasons for shuttering the Department of Education, one reason ranks high: Anticipated block grants to the states to fund vouchers and to energize the charter school movement, thereby increasing the number and viability of “segregation academies.”  Admittedly, Project 2025 is “old news,” however, reading a summary from Wikipedia shows how thorough-going a blueprint it is for the Trump administration (See below). Should we be shocked, as the HuffPost reports, that Trump has spent 18.2 million on golf weekends, while firing federal workers in the name of waste, fraud and abuse.
