Editor’s Note: The January 9th funeral for President Carter was the most important story of the week, which will be covered in the Jan 13 Digest. We should keep our eyes on Musk and Ramaswamy as agents of change on the political right in America and the world. The attacks on DEI continue, with McDonald’s being the latest company to roll-back diversity goals. My sense is that many of these corporate efforts were largely window-dressings. If you are interested in Trump’s effect on White Christian women, check out the piece by Nina Martin in Mother Jones. The Luther Vandross documentary is a must see. Something ails the Warriors and Steph Curry that appears not to be easily fixed.
